Jake Holzscheiter is the fifth President to lead Deringer since our founding in 1919. A Certified Customs Specialist and a Licensed Customs Broker, Jake has been with the organization for more than 30 years. He has held varied and progressively senior positions with the company, from branch office administration to logistics operations work in the field, to Vice President of Customs Affairs, and as Senior Vice President. His diverse roles have encompassed day-to-day operations management, training and innovation development, and high-level compliance and trade support for Deringer clients across the US and around the world.
As the former President of the Northern Border Customs Brokers Association and member of its Board of Directors, as well as Trade Chair of the broker sub-committee of Customs and Border Protection’s Trade Support Network, Jake’s active role in the logistics industry has helped to shape the legal and security initiatives of current and future international trade practices. Throughout his career, Jake has led a series of successful efforts to streamline and upgrade the company’s operational procedures and IT support systems. In his local community, Jake previously served on the Board of Directors for RiseVT and The Vermont Chamber of Commerce. He is a current member of the Board of Directors for The Vermont Futures Project, Northwestern Medical Center, and is a former Board Chair of both NMC and The Vermont Chamber.
