Conect and the Canadian Consulate of New England Present: "US Trade with Canada"

Join Deringer for the “US Trade with Canada” seminar taking place on October 15, 2014. The event is presented by the Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT) and the New England Canadian Consulate. Featuring a robust program of seasoned professionals, the seminar includes presentations and panels regarding the Beyond the Border action plan, border processing and documentation, penalties, NAFTA, and the best practices of importing and exporting. The Essex Resort & Spa in Essex, Vermont, will host the seminar from 12:00PM to 5:30 PM, which will be followed by a cocktail reception until 7:00 PM.
The new Canadian Consul General to New England will offer a keynote address on Canada’s “Beyond the Border” Action Plan. Additional speakers include government representatives from both sides of the border, including US CBP and the Canada Border Services Agency, as well as representatives from A.N. Deringer, Inc., Burton Snowboards, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters/Keurig, Inc., the Law Offices of Paula M. Connelly, Pisani & Roll LLP, Dentons Canada, and BorderConnect. Practitioners of US/Canadian trade will cover border processing, documentation, clearance, penalties and non-resident importing. “NAFTA Celebrates 20 Years!” will also be a highlight.
Deringer’s Director of Transportation, Matt Parrott, will be speaking at the event on the best practices relating to cross border trucking, small parcel shipping, and logistics processes. As a member of the board of directors for CONECT, Deringer’s Corporate Marketing Manager, Claudia Ashton, is chairing the event and will act as moderator on a panel regarding US and Canadian government regulations.
