CHAMPLAIN, NY – A.N. Deringer, Inc. is pleased to announce that Robert Kossick will be joining Deringer’s Trade Advisory Group (TAG) as a Senior Trade Advisor. Robert is a licensed Customs Broker, an attorney whose practice experience has centered on customs and trade issues, and a member of the Washington District Export Council (WADEC). His responsibilities have included duty optimization, regulatory strategy, classification, valuation, trade remedies, forced labor due diligence, PGA compliance, AD/CVD investigations, export controls and economic sanctions, and penalty mitigation. Robert will apply this experience in his role at Deringer as he optimizes trade strategies for clients and maximizes opportunities for success.
Ania Wierzbowska-Fuller, Director of Consulting and Regulatory Affairs for Deringer notes, “Robert has a broad range of experience and will be a valuable addition to the TAG team.” With his extensive knowledge in import and export compliance, dual (English-Spanish) language capabilities, and deep understanding of international trade policy, Robert will partner with clients to ensure adherence to import laws and regulations, resolve trade-related issues, and determine the feasibility of import strategies that leverage trade agreements, special provisions of the HTSUS, and other international trade opportunities.

Robert earned a LL.M. in Inter-American Law from the University of Miami School of Law and a Ph.D. in International Trade from Tulane University Law School.
